As most of you may have noticed, our last blog update was posted almost a month ago. We didn’t mean to leave everyone hanging, however, since the new year hit, we’ve put a lot of thought into our company and its’ direction. We’ve been on somewhat of a hiatus, planning our future as well as the future and growth of Give Clothing.
Stay posted for more of our thoughts and whats to come for Give Clothing!

Yesterday, we went to check out the new DYNT Gallery, that just opened a few weeks ago. DYNT, also known as DOnUt Clothing, is a local clothing brand from our area, doing it big with a positive message behind their line as well as the grand opening of the DYNT Gallery.

DYNT, standing for “Do You Not Them” is lifestyle brand collectively combining backgrounds of style, music, art & skate culture. With a positive concept of being yourself and not what society wants you to be, they’re sure to make a name for themselves.

I had to pick up some DYNT gear while at their official flagship shop. I went with the Doughboy Tee in red.

I saw this video the other day while reading through a blog site called HighSnobiety.com and it made me want to try this so bad! Check out these speed-flyers as they glide down Mt. Superior in Utah. Speed-Flying is an extreme winter sport that involves a combination of paragliding and skiing. Pretty legit if you ask me. This is definitely on the bucket list! I also like the song in this video from K’nann “Take A Minute.”

Cinnamon Walnuts.

So, how was everyone’s holiday? We hope everyone had a great weekend, spending time with family and friends, eating delicious food, receiving fun gifts…but most importantly, GIVING great gifts, help, food, and sharing that warm holiday feeling! As the end of the year, gets closer and everyone is out and about exchanging gifts, we thought it would be nice to squeeze out the last little bit of the holiday season with a recipe, you can enjoy until new years.

Cinnamon Walnuts
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups walnut halves

Directions
In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar, milk, cinnamon and salt. Cook over medium heat, without stirring, until a candy thermometer reads 238 degrees F (soft-ball stage). Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla and walnuts. Spread onto waxed paper to harden. Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

With the year wrapping and only a few more days until New Years eve, that means new years resolutions, planning for the future, and more exciting things from Give Clothing! Be on the lookout, to see whats in store for Give. We plan on making 2011 and big year!

Disneyland.

Last week, the Give crew took a trip down to the magical and wonderful world of Disneyland. If any of you follow us on Twitter @GiveClothing you may already know of this adventure, through our Twitter updates.

I’m sure I’m not the only one when I say this, but Disneyland is the one place where I definitely feel like a little kid, all over again! We should all get that same feeling of freedom, great memories, and laughter, when stepping through the pearly gates of Disneyland, watching a Disney movie or just plain talking about Disney. Walt Disney sure had a great vision and going through with it and following his dreams, made Disney one of the most spectacular places and companies on earth.

This picture was taken by one of the Disney cast members and even though they didn’t get the autofocus just right and this picture is mega blurry, it’s still a great experience to walk into Disneyland and see all the characters out and about ready for pictures and hugs.

It was a pretty rainy, all day long…but before jumping on all the rides, we decided to get some hot chocolate at a bakery on Main St. It just so happened that a Disney quartet entered the shop right as we were walking out, only to begin singing a few Christmas songs.

Our first ride was the infamous Haunted Mansion. During the Halloween and Christmas season, Disney redecorates the Haunted Mansion, into a Nightmare Before Christmas theme!

Also located in New Orleans Square is the legendary Club 33. Some people are unsure if there is such a real place or if it just a myth…But we do have confirmation from a Disney cast memeber and a picture proof of this private high class club. Club 33, is real and cost a good amount to get in! That is if you don’t mind waiting a few years on their overflowing waiting list.

We also jumped right on the King Arthur’s Carrousel, located near the center of Disneyland, in Fantasyland. Since it was a rainy day, we could practically walk onto every ride without waiting in line. King Arthur’s Carrousel is known as one Disneylands oldest rides still in the park.

Pretty much, there is so much fun and exciting things to do at Disneyland, that this blog post could go on forever! It’s safe to say we had an awesome time and we can’t wait to go back soon!

Today we headed down to Next Day Flyers and picked up a few things you wouldn’t normally think about right away, but is still vital to a clothing company.

Every shirt now comes with a custom hang tag, talking a little bit about Give and what we’re set out to do.

Searching the web, I found an interesting blog post about an artist named Craig Damrauer. His simplistic style, and somewhat humorous art, I thought was worthy of a repost on our Give site.
It would be interesting to see what something like this would look like on a t-shirt and how well it’d sell. Check out his work below!
